摘要: Three types of titanium hydrides have been reported: delta, epsilon and ..gamma.. hydrides. The delta hydride forms in the composition range from TiH/sub 1.5/ to 1.99/ has a CaF/sub 2/ structure with metal atoms on an fcc lattice hydrogen randomly occupying tetrahedral interstitial sites. At higher concentrations, 2/, fct (c/a .. transformation is apparently diffusionless, similar that operating cubic/tetragonal zirconium hydride. metastable having c/a value 1.09 or 1.12 solid solutions hcp ..cap alpha.. matrix. While precipitation alpha..-Ti its alloys attracted extensive investigation, formation bcc ..beta..-Ti rarely studied because they not thought be liable formation. This paper shows conclusive evidence for phase ..beta.. Ti-30 wt% Mo by x-ray diffraction study.
