Neuronal Migration in the Adult Brain

摘要: Neuronal migration is an important process in brain development and homeostasis. It not only a phenomenon of embryogenesis: it also occurs the adult brain, following neurogenesis. In fact, throughout life, numerous new neurons generated subventricular zone take long journey to olfactory bulb. The adult-born form chain-like aggregates migrate inside glial tubes. this chapter, we summarize current knowledge on mechanisms neuronal occurring various animals under physiological pathological conditions.
