摘要: Objective To validate the MDRF-Indian Diabetes Risk Score (IDRS) in a south Indian population coastal Karnataka. Methods The study was conducted at Boloor locality Mangalore on adults aged 20 years or more. group comprised 551 participants (68.9% response rate). OGTT performed using 75 gms of glucose. MDRF-IDRS calculated age, family history diabetes, physical activity and waist measurement. ROC curves were constructed to identify optimum value (> = 60%) IDRS for determining diabetes as diagnosed WHO consulting criteria. Results We found that 71 individuals known diabetic subjects (KD) while 45 have newly (NDD). An score > =60 had best sensitivity (62.2%) specificity (73.7%) detecting undiagnosed this community. Conclusion Our confirms validates being valid simple reliable screening tool highest diabetes.
