摘要: Globally the increasing prevalence of diabetes mellitus (DM) is major public health concern. The Indian Diabetes Risk Score (IDRS) was developed by Madras Research Foundation (MDRF) as a simple tool to help detect undiagnosed type 2 DM (T2DM) in community. We conducted study among 911 adults Jabalpur District validate IDRS score against increased fasting blood sugar levels diagnosing T2DM. T2DM confirmed either history previously known disease or plasma glucose ≥126 mg/dl on two occasions. Sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative Youden index (sensitivity + specificity −1), likelihood ratio for test, and test were calculated cut-offs ≥20, ≥40, ≥60, ≥80 presence (either diabetic >126 occasions). overall 9.99% (95% confidence interval, 8.04-11.94%). In Receiver operating characteristic analysis, had an area under curve 0.736 ( P < 0.001). best cut-off 40 with sensitivity, 60.4%, 70.7%, 0.31, respectively. findings our indicate that has excellent value detecting community also much stronger risk indicator than examining individual factors like age, family history, obesity, physical activity.
