摘要: Abstract Background DSM׳s replacement of ‘mixed episodes’ with features’ has ironically created a specifier, which potentially lacks specificity because it overlooks two key symptoms: psychomotor agitation and distractibility. Therefore, the present study examined presence distractibility across mood disorder spectrum. Methods Two hundred patients were diagnosed assigned to one three groups (depression, bipolar spectrum (BDspectrum) disorder) based on clinical evaluation by psychiatrist. On basis MDQ scores, depression group was then further subdivided into groups: unipolar (UP) mixed (UPmix). These four compared examine relative distribution Participants underwent psychiatrist completed series questionnaires. Results Increased distraction, racing thoughts, increased irritability most commonly reported manic symptoms amongst group. Further, UPmix BDspectrum had significantly higher than other groups. Limitations The depended self-report measures did not include standardised agitation. Future research needs pure without any clarify how different this would be from those features. Conclusions findings suggest that may represent core states, as they are more common in I disorder. implications discussed.
