摘要: The distribution of specific autochthonous oligotrophic bacteria in a surface layer (30 m depth) pelagic seawater station (DYFAMED, 28 miles off-shore, the northwestern Mediterranean Sea) was studied by situ hybridization with rRNA-targeted fluorescently labelled oligonucleotide probes (FISH). data reported here extend previous analysis 16S rDNA clone libraries obtained PCR from enriched bacterial populations order to relate enrichment results population abundance and diversity original sample. For such purpose, frequency matching six previously designed group- clone-specific naturally occurring rRNA sequences analysed support reports Vibrio Rhodobacter groups layer. high percentage coverage Vibrio- Rhodobacter- (24 19%, respectively) resulting experiments indicates suitability described method obtain numerically representative marine bacteria.
