摘要: The differential cross-section for dimuon production by 194 GeV/c π− onW, as measured the NA10 Collaboration, is compared with theoretical models. wide kinematical range of data, extending well above ϒ resonances, provides opportunity a comparison ‘realistic’ Drell-Yan models, i.e. those allowing scaling violation in hadronic structure functions. data fact clearly indicate failure ‘naive’ model, while available versions (leading logarithm approximation and next-to-leading first order QCD), although giving better description still disagree thexF and\(\sqrt \tau \) dependences at high masses. This disagreement referred to here ‘anomalous’ violation. dependence results on external inputs (nucleon pion-sea functions) analysed; it shown that value 〈K〉=1.03±0.03 (stat.) can be obtained ratio experimental/theoretical cross-section.
