QCD corrections to the Drell-Yan mechanism and the pion structure function

摘要: Abstract We compute the differential cross section dσ/dQ2 dy for lepton pair production up to first order in strong coupling constant αs. show that, region where theory applies and statistical accuracy of experiments is good, ratio QCD correction Drell-Yan approximately constant, that its magnitude good agreement with results CERN-NA3 experiment. thus within framework this first-order calculation, shape pion structure function extracted from dilepton πp collisions correct. also comment on average transverse momentum due gluon or quark recoil.
