摘要: Cancer of unknown primary site is a common clinico- pathologic syndrome representing very heterogeneous group patients with metastatic cancers and clinically undetectable tumor sites. The standard treatment for these the last 15 years has been empiric "broad-spectrum" chemo- therapy. In recent years, improved immunocytochemistry emergence gene expression profiling have provided diagnostic tools necessary to accurately define tissue origin in majority patients.
