Cost-effective pre-treatment of food-processing industrial wastewater

摘要: Performance of laboratory-scale aerobic and anaerobic systems treating food-processing wastewater was investigated. The results obtained showed that BOD COD discharged from a potato-chips factory can be reduced by 86% 82% using UASB reactor at an organic loading rate (OLR) 2.9 kg BOD/m 3 ·d hydraulic retention time (HRT) 18 hr. Corresponding for activated sludge system, operated OLR 8.9 with HRT 6hr were 84%, respectively. Treatment confectionery 12hr 4.4 .d gave satisfactory results. removals 92.4% 91.5%, use completely system 6 hr ORL 8.4 lower as compared to reactor. However, characteristics the effluents produced two in agreement standards regulating discharge industrial into sewerage system. Based on technical economic evaluation results, engineering designs made selected systems.
