摘要: Isoelectric focusing on slabs of acrylamide gel was adapted for the screening abnormal hemoglobins, characterization 70 human variants, and study minor fractions normal hemoglobin. The method as fast inexpensive conventional techniques, allowed simultaneous analysis some 50 samples whole blood, yielded resolution superior to that obtained by other methods with hemolysates. Among 31 mutants could not be separated from HbS cellulose acetate electrophoresis. technique electrofocusing us distinguish between most variants. Only one mutant, Hb Galveston, confused HbS. Koln, frequent unstable exhibited a special pattern. HbA1C HbA. Preliminary results indicate quantitation scanning is feasible.
