摘要: We analyze a recent proposal for spontaneous mirror symmetry breaking based on the coupling of first-order enantioselective autocatalysis and direct production enantiomers that invokes critical role intrinsic reaction noise. For isolated systems, racemic state is unique stable outcome both stochastic deterministic dynamics when system in compliance with constraints dictated by thermodynamics chemical processes. In open also results driving unidirectionally external reagents. Nonracemic states can result latter only if reverse reactions are strictly zero: these kinetically controlled outcomes small populations volumes, be simulated dynamics. However, stability thermodynamic limit proves irreversible externally driven autocatalysis. These findings contradict suggestion inhibition requirement Frank autocatalytic model emergence homochirality may relaxed noise-induced mechanism.
