摘要: The proteins which elicit nerve growth factor NGF activity have been the object of interest and investigation for more than a decade. discovery stimulates differentiation certain neurons in embryonic sensory sympathetic ganglia (Levi-Montalcini, 1966) its characterization as protein (Cohen & Levi-Montalcini, 1957) were events very considerable significance neurobiology their consequences are still being exploited. Soon after character was established it found that much could be obtained from adult male mouse submaxillary gland original tumor material (Cohen, 1960) became preferred starting further investigation. method isolating this devised by Cohen (1960). His preparation optimally active at about 15 ng/ml vitro plasma clot assay sedimented 4.3S.
