摘要: An integrated optical metal clad leaky waveguide (MCLW) sensor device has been developed for the detection of bacteria. This is more sensitive than sensors currently in use. The MCLW fabricated to extend evanescent field provide significant light intensity over entire volume bacteria bound on chip surface within this field. turn increases interaction with devices have used detecting refractive index changes, scattering, and fluorescence from bacterial spores captured an immobilized antibody. limit Bacillus subtilis var. niger using was 8 x10(4) spores/mL. scattering BG found be three times greater generated plasmon resonance. extended propagation along direction flow a few millimeters provides effective interrogation approach increase area detect low concentrations down 1 x 10(4) then optimized by studying key factors affecting performance including changing pH medium, type antibody immobilization matrix, regeneration approaches, longevity sensor.
