摘要: Detection and identification of bacteria is an important aspect our world today. Outbreaks pathogenic bacteria, either occurring naturally in food or possibly being used as weapons by bioterrorists for contamination food, air, water, are constantly the news. Identifying specific responsible these outbreaks their potential source great importance. Biosensors, specifically evanescent wave-based fluorescence biosensors, evolving to meet challenges. In wave sensors, light launched into optical waveguide at such angle that internally reflected completely interface surrounding medium. An electromagnetic generated surface penetrates 100–200 nm medium (air, buffer). Fluorophores bound within this region target a recognition molecule excited. Many different configurations method have been developed will be discussed chapter.
