摘要: DNA repair is a very complicated phenomenon that inseparable from replication and transcription. However, it may be roughly divided into recombinational relevant to SOS response excision for the elimination of lesions produced by radiation exposure or chemical modification. Both these processes involve various protein factors enzymes acting on DNA. These proteins essentially interact with through recognition unique conformations around damaged moieties four-way junctions at points strand exchange. In this respect, they are distinct other well-characterized binding proteins, such as transcriptional regulatory factors, functions which rely upon specific base sequences. Thus, major focus in cell biology medical sciences fully understand structural basis maintenance genetic information.
