摘要: This study incorporates findings on both the sleeper effect and suggestibility of memory assesses source credibility time delay suggestibility. Subjects viewed a sequence slides with four target items. A narrative followed, containing misleading description two items; other items served as controls. The was attributed to either 4-year-old boy (low-credibility source) or psychologist (high-credibility who described slides. recognition test followed 10 min 1 month later. subjects in low-credibility condition falsely recognized significantly more delayed than immediate condition; high-credibility condition, number high did not differ between conditions. significant interaction credibility, time, misled/control conditions rate recognizing misled suggests that, passage item information become less strongly associated memory. cognitive processes underlying appear be similar those
