摘要: Movement disorders associated with basal ganglia dysfunction comprise a spectrum of abnormalities that range from the hypokinetic (of which Parkinson's disease is best-known example) at one extreme to hyperkinetic (exemplified by Huntington's and hemiballismus) other. Both extremes this movement disorder can be accounted for postulating specific disturbances within ganglia-thalamocortical 'motor' circuit. In paper, Mahlon DeLong describes changes in neuronal activity motor circuit animal models hypo- disorders.
