摘要: An on-going Arecibo line search between 1.1 and 10 GHz of the prototypical starburst/megamaser galaxy, Arp 220, has revealed a spectrum rich in molecular transitions. These include "pre-biotic" molecules: methanimine (CH2NH) emission, three v 2 = 1 direct l-type absorption lines HCN, an feature likely to be from either 18OH or formic acid (HCOOH). In addition, we report detection two, possibly three, transitions λ4 cm excited OH not previously detected 220 which are seen absorption, possible 6.668 methanol. This marks first distant extragalactic methanimine, pre-biotic molecule. Also, if confirmed, methanol presented here would represent at distance further than Mpc. strong, undetected, cm-wave HCN will aid study dense gas active star-forming regions this starburst galaxy.
