摘要: LIVER DYSFUNCTION is a well-recognized complication of long-term parenteral nutrition? This cholestatic condition has been assumed to be benign because the reversibility liver function abnormalities once parentera! nutrition discontinued and oral feedings established. However, persistent hepatic fibrosis or cirrhosis, both, have demonstrated in biopsies patients with jaundice secondary nutrition,'-', nutrition-associ ated recently implicated as cause significant morbidity? To illustrate new dysfunction, we now report preterm infant nutrition-associated resultant biliary cirrhosis whom fatal hepatocellular carcinoma occurred at age 26 months.
