摘要: Celiac disease (CeD) and inflammatory bowel (IBD) are chronic diseases affecting the gastrointestinal tract. They share certain characteristics, including autoimmune features, presence of both systemic clinical symptoms, pathogenic contributions by genetic environmental factors. However, there several stark differences that must be appreciated. The immunogenic mechanisms two unique, with differing innate adaptive immune responses. Histologically, CeD is distinct from IBD, which useful diagnostically as well for gaining insight into mechanisms. Lastly, role diagnostic laboratory testing, serologic genetic, differs greatly between IBD. purpose this chapter to provide a summary what currently known about pathogenesis, epidemiology, presentation, testing
