摘要: With most of the Doppler techniques, presently available to diagnose cerebrovascular disease, vascular lesions associated with substantial narrowing carotid arteries (more than 50–60% diameter reduction) can be detected accurately, while they distinguish between tight stenosis and total occlusion [1]. The latter is important because in high shear stresses are considered induce thrombus formation causing, for example, transient ischemic attacks (TIA’s) due emboli. Accurate diagnosis lesser degrees stenosis, however, still problematic.
