摘要: Spectral analysis of pulsed Doppler velocity waveforms has been found useful as a diagnostic technique in the assessment carotid artery disease. While spectral broadening waveform obtained at center stream sites is usually associated with arterial disease, present study describes patterns resulting from disturbed blood flow proximal branches bifurcation young, presumed normal human subjects. In those studied, region exhibit characteristics similar to occurring zones separation model studies under conditions steady flow. It important distinguish due disease bifurcation. This paper types disturbances noted arteries and points out need understand that may be specific anatomical across
