摘要: In situ probing of central nervous system (CNS) tissues has made it possible to associate the presence JHM virus (JHMV) RNA with individual cells in rat CNS. The viral was not always associated antigen expression. hybridization revealed that cerebellar Purkinje and hippocampal neurons were highly susceptible JHMV infection during either acute or paralytic disease. disease, cell frequently contained RNA. This observation suggests these neurons, perhaps others, may be repositories for rats undergo prolonged infections.
