摘要: Canadian funding agencies are no longer content to support research that solely advances scientific knowledge, and key directives now in place promote transfer policy- decision-makers. Therefore, it is necessary improve our understanding of how researchers trained supported facilitate knowledge translation activities. In this study, we investigated differences health researcher characteristics Our sample consisted 240 from three Alberta universities. Respondents were classified by domain [basic (n = 72) or applied 168)] faculty [medical school 128) other science 112)]. We examined findings using Mode I II archetypes production, which allowed us consider the scholarly social contexts production translation. Differences among professional not statistically significant. There was a significant gender difference group, predominantly female (p faculties; p .004). an interaction effect for group number publications .01), medical faculties published more than their peers groups. illustrate important between provide beginning insights into engagement A future study designed examine these dimensions greater detail, including potential covariates across varied institutions, would yield richer enable examination relative influences, needs costs each mode activity.
