摘要: Abstract Northern Hemisphere tropical paleoclimate records support significant changes associated with Dansgaard Oeschger (D/O) events and Heinrich stadials 1 to 6 during the last 64,000 years. However, few absolutely dated terrestrial from western Atlantic span six stadials. Here we present geochemical results three new stalagmites collected a cave in Bahamas which encompass 6. We build on previous study of δ 13 C 18 O values calcite value fluid inclusions single stalagmite same spanning Absolute geochronometry using U-Th equilibrium series demonstrates that formed between 63.8 13.8 kyr BP. The show higher 1–6, lower D/O interstadial events. Sr/Ca ratios are shown be relatively invariant, while two samples Mg/Ca track values. Increases across 1–6 interpreted as being driven by temperatures. deeper occurring demonstrate increased 2 signal reduced flow rates epikarst water/rock interactions result aridity potentially occurred all observed reductions mean annual temperature amount precipitation proposed reduction sea surface temperatures North an expanded Bermuda High.
