摘要: Abstract Temperature reconstructions across Heinrich stadials 1–3 are presented from an absolute-dated speleothem Abaco Island in the Bahamas to understand nature of climate change these intervals subtropical Atlantic. The stalagmite carbonate record, dated by U–Th geochronometry technique, includes higher δ18O and δ13C values within 1, 2, 3 followed rapid declines at end stadials. To aid interpretation results, fluid inclusions associated with were also analyzed. These measurements, which allowed for relative influence temperature precipitation be distinguished, demonstrate minimal changes inclusions, suggesting that principally driven average ∼ 4 ° C decrease, rather than a rainfall (hence amount). findings support previous work North Atlantic consistent response weakening meridional overturning circulation.
