摘要: Being important pests of temperate and tropical regions, termites are responsible for massive losses to agricultural crops wooden structures. Chemical control is the most popular effective method management. However, deleterious effect continuous usage chemical termiticides serious concern, researchers throughout world actually searching alternative approaches. This chapter encompasses various non-chemical strategies developed so far. Physical methods also discussed. Focus has been given on biological means management with major emphasis drawn fungi, bacteria, nematodes plant-derived natural products (botanicals). Botanical pesticides sustainable, biodegradable easily available, no nontarget species, do not cause pest resistance. Furthermore, bioactive components present in botanicals can be isolated, characterized, formulated used as commercial termiticides.
