摘要: The endothelial cells lining the smallest blood vessels, capillaries or microvessels, comprise a dynamic interface adapted for exchange of nutrients, waste products, and therapeutic substances between interstitial fluids (Simionescu Simionescu 1983; Smith Kampine 1984). This specialized vascular is also recognized as heterogenous population that may perform synthetic, degradative, receptor functions which vary depending on tissue location Hammersen 1985; Fajardo 1989). Our purpose here to review current understanding several processes facilitate transfer macromolecules across capillary endothelium. We have begun by generally describing potential pathways macro-molecule passage Since transport properties endothelia widely from tissue, we narrowed scope subsequent discussion one endothelia, blood-brain barrier (BBB).
