Several anti-hypertensive agents have been used to treat chronic hypertension reduce morbidity mortality Previous experimental studies shown reduced stroke angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors. This review discusses development potential use ACE inhibitors prevention treatment this disease. Furthermore, focuses on current investigations aimed at cellular mechanisms involved stroke-induced microvascular alterations.
