摘要: A joint research project University of Genova/Politecnico di Torino regards the influence selected fillers, inserted to obtain different micro and nano-structured compounds ethylen vynil acetate (EVA) copolymer, on surface electrical behaviour, in presence artificial wet contamination (macroscopic tracking). Three polymer composites have been realised, which two contained fluorohectorite as nanofiller. Fluorohectorite is a layered silicate (clay); when its molecules are organically modified, polymeric macromolecules can set between their layers, enabling formation nanoscale range geometries along one dimension, thus increasing dramatically interface interactions. mix (nanofiller) trihydrate alumina (THA microfiller) also considered. Suitable tests were carried out flat specimens order rank performances above materials. The tracking outcome indicates results case EVA with THA presenting better behaviour respect other considered
