摘要: In a period of agricultural decline in the uplands Europe, agriculture is ceasing to provide primary rationale for organisation, utilisation and functioning rural space. Policy reform, market trends changes way citizens consumers think about countryside all suggest need thinking strategically future development these areas. However, without broad involvement stakeholders, land use conflicts, social cultural conflicts general, may increase. Involving stakeholders upland areas can be facilitated by using scenario technique discussing alternative futures local stakeholder panels. this paper we present four scenarios land-use change year 2030, their assessments panels Scotland, France, Norway, Switzerland, Slovakia Greece. The aim explore ways which locations advocate assess scenarios. We also how different countries weight visual landscape impacts, livelihood biodiversity aspects assessment, reasons prioritising. cross-country analysis shows that across study are united overall rejection liberalisation, advocating production-oriented, but multifunctional environmentally-friendly maintains landscapes biodiversity.
