摘要: Variation in drug response to hormone replacement therapy (HRT) may reflect genetic heterogeneity the estrogen-related genes, possibly including estrogen receptor alpha (ERα) gene. However, only a few association studies of HRT have been reported, focusing mainly on intronic polymorphisms ERα We therefore examined 284 postmenopausal women (mean age, 52.2 ± 5.0 years) for microsatellite thymine–adenine (TA) repeat polymorphism promoter gene and its relationship by measuring changes bone mineral density (BMD) after 1 year HRT. In our study population, most common number TA repeats was 14, with range values between 11 27. At baseline, neither associated measured lumbar spine or femoral neck BMD nor markers. When we categorized subjects numbers into an L group (n = 142), low mean (TA < 16), H high ≥ no significant genotypic differences were noted spinal correlated (r −0.131, P 0.035) adjustment confounding factors such as body mass index years since menopause. This correlation also seen shorter allele −0.159, 0.012), which defined lower repeats. this not found 0.053, 0.396). nonresponder who had lost even HRT, 15.9% included, significantly younger higher initial than responder group. After further age BMD, remained responsiveness (P 0.005). These data indicate effects Korean women.
