Fabrication of Transparent Hydroxyapatite Sintered Body with High Crystal Orientation by Pulse Electric Current Sintering

摘要: Transparent hydroxyapatite (HAp) sintered body with a high crystal orientation and relative density of 99.7% was fabricated by the pulse electric current sintering method; c-axis HAp crystals hexagonal column morphology ca. 200 μm × 25 in size oriented perpendicular to pressure direction. The temperature increased 1200°C at heating rate 50°C/min for 10 min 50 MPa applied. indexes were calculated from X-ray diffraction patterns planes parallel optical transmittance greater than 70% over wavelength 700 nm.
