摘要: AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK), an enzyme functioning as a cellular sensor of low energy, stores and promotes adaptive changes in growth, differentiation, metabolism. While AMPK is primarily thought regulator systemic metabolism, it has been clearly established that also role the regulation cell growth may be therapeutic target for proliferative disorders. Growth hormone (GH) secretion from anterior pituitary GH-induced synthesis release insulin-like-growth-factor-1 (IGF-1) liver determine linear before puberty. Actually, GH IGF-1 are potent factors affecting differentiation different tissues, still have anabolic functions serve essential regulators fuel metabolism adulthood, well. A variety peripheral hormonal metabolic signals regulate either by acting directly on and/or modulating GH-releasing or somatostatin hypothalamus. intracellular transduction endocrine regulating somatotroph function debated. Based previously summarized contents, aim present work to review currently available data suggesting interplay between axis activity functions.
