摘要: Background Rupture of the Achilles tendon is usually managed by surgical intervention. Recurrent ruptures, segmental defects, and overlying soft tissue defects render reconstructive procedures challenging. In this report, we present double or triple folding technique anterolateral thigh (ALT) free flap, report clinical outcomes reconstruction combined including tissue. Method From 2008 to 2013, 7 patients underwent defects. The sizes ranged from 9 × 5 12 cm2. Combined were reconstructed with ALT flap vastus lateralis fascia rectus femoris fascia, using a technique. covered defect was folded two three times into tendon-like structure. Three had full-layer tendon, four partial over half layer. Result The dimension skin paddle 6 16 8 cm2, 10 All donor sites closed primarily. flaps survived completely without complication. mean follow-up period 14.9 months. able stand ambulate. Conclusion The represents simple, economical use tissue, minimal site morbidity. Thus, may be useful versatile option for © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Microsurgery 35:615–621, 2015.
