摘要: Abstract A remarkable share of European mass housing was built with large-panel systems during the 1960s and 1970s. In many countries, this stock is already being demolished or demolition discussed due to vacancies social problems. This trend may result in creation an unforeseeable amount concrete waste. Simultaneously, EU has issued Waste Framework Directive aiming at reuse instead recycling. Unlike situ cast concrete, reclaimed prefabricated panels from carry potential for reuse. The purpose study review embedded Finland’s perspective dimensions spaces, i.e. , their suitability architectural (plan) design. research material consists drawings 276 blocks flats that contain over 26 000 wall nearly 14 000 hollow-core slabs, which are compared current norms guidelines dimensioning living spaces. technical prerequisites reviewed help literature. results identifying inventory typical Finnish precast construction, which, principle, should not exist because building plans were standardized but supposed be unique. found still usable design detached houses, form one third annual residential production Finland.
