摘要: Stink bugs are an emerging threat to soybean (Fabales: Fabaceae) in the North Central Region of United States. Consequently, region-specific scouting recommendations for stink needed. The aim this study was characterize spatial pattern and develop sampling plans estimate bug population density fields. In 2016 2017, 125 fields distributed across nine states were sampled using sweep nets. Regression analyses used determine effects species [Chinavia hilaris (Say) (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae) Euschistus spp. Pentatomidae)], life stages (nymphs adults), field locations (edge interior) on as represented by variance-mean relationships. Results showed that aggregated. Sequential developed each combination species, stage, location all data combined. required sample size average 40-42 units (sets 25 sweeps) would be necessary achieve a precision 0.25 densities commonly encountered region. However, based observed geographic gradient densities, more practical sizes (5-10 units) may sufficient southeastern part region, whereas impractical (>100 northwestern Our findings provide research-based estimating these pests soybean.
