摘要: The present work, aims at investigating the wear properties of Al2219 alloy before and after introducing micro size TiC particulates. particulate reinforced metal matrix composites were prepared by stir casting method. Weight fraction reinforcement was varied from 0 to 6 wt. % in steps 2 %. For each composite, during processing particles pre-heated a temperature 600°C then dispersed into vortex molten alloy. microstructural characterization done using Scanning Electron Microscope, which revealed fairly uniform distribution Al matrix. Pin-on-disc testing machine used evaluate rate specimens, hardened EN32 steel disc as counter face. results that increased with increase normal load sliding speed for all conditions. Further, studies also suggest Al2219-TiC lesser than
