摘要: In the search for better materials middle ear reconstruction, ceramics have been suggested as an alternative. The bioactive glass-ceramic Ceravital8 was made available to us animal experiments and clinical trials. To test its suitability in surgery, 101 operations were carried out 53 rabbits including reconstruction of 78 posterior auditory canal walls insertion 174 implants. Parameters studied include effects bone pate inducing new growth, chronological course apposition remodeling, microscopic examination mucous membrane growth on implants degree lysis implant. In past two one half years some 250 ossicular prostheses implanted man chain. A statistical analysis 119 tympanoplasties after a follow-up shows no perforations tympanic over or rejection prosthesis from ear. audiological results achieved more favorable with use than those using allogenic grafts. On basis histologic findings observed results, material Ceravital® is remarkably well suited wall implantation direct contact membrane.
