摘要: Abstract Indium sulfide is an emerging material for solar cell application and this reason it has attracted much attention. Herein we report on the growth development of β-indium nanoparticles with reaction time. The nanostructures were synthesized by a conventional colloidal method aliquots at 60, 90, 120 150 min taken. resultant characterized x-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, UV-Vis photoluminescence spectroscopy. variation time resulted in particles defect tetragonal crystal structure however morphology changed shapes evolved from spheres to 2D layered hexagonal nanoplates. structures are often associated less stable high temperature γ-In 2 S 3 phase, study γ phase was not observed. Hence emergence attributed surface strain experience over possibility conditions being near β-In / boundary. optical properties OD indicative nanosized as result blue-shifting band-edge. sample more red-shifted than other samples signifying larger particle sizes blue-shift bulk thickness plates.
