摘要: Extensive desertification, over the next 100 years, has been predicted for eastern parts of South Africa. Using multivariate classification and ordination techniques data from lower Sundays River Valley, Cape, we provide supporting evidence a limited expansion karroid shrublands into adjacent succulent sub-tropical thicket. Karroid appear more resilient to sustained grazing pressure than do mesic thicket vegetation types.
