摘要: It has been mentioned that nitrogen enhances the corrosion resistance of martensitic stainless steels. In this work, by means electrochemical and mass loss tests, three experimental steels, with partial substitution carbon were investigated. Martensitic steels type AISI 410 420 also tested, for comparison, all tested in both hardened tempered conditions. The to general 0.5 M H2SO4 was evaluated tests potentiodynamic polarization last through critical current density passive density. pitting 0.01 NaCl+0.01 Na2SO4, potential. results show nitrogen, when present solid solution condition, improves resistance. observed densities lower, H2SO4, potentials higher, Na2SO4 solution. are discussed basically throuth different chemical composition microstructure each sample.
