摘要: Abstract Background Graze eating is defined as repetitive, unplanned of small amounts food throughout the day. Little consensuses exist regarding whether graze eating, like binge disorder (BED), characterized by feelings loss control (LOC). Furthermore, little known about how patients who eat with and without LOC differ psychologically. Objectives The present study seeks to better characterize examining differences between (+LOC) (–LOC) among presurgical bariatric patients. Setting A large, Midwestern academic medical center. Methods sample consisted 288 adult surgery candidates (mean age 45.8, standard deviation [SD] 12.57) underwent a psychological evaluation. BED, other mental health diagnoses were evaluated using semistructured interview. Participants also administered Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory–2–Restructured Form (MMPI-2-RF) scale (BES). Data collected retrospective chart review.
