摘要: Picking and nibbling (P&N) is a newly studied eating behavior, increasingly cited in the literature relation to weight loss treatments, particularly area of bariatric surgery. P&N was added Eating Disorder Examination (EDE v14.3) by Fairburn Cooper1 described as an pattern characterized unplanned repetitious manner between meals snacks. Despite inconsistent definitions this concept (“grazing”, 2,3 “snacking eating”,4 or simply “nibbling”5), existing seems point high prevalence such behaviors,6-9 support its association with control eating,2,3,10 less loss2,3 and/or long-term regain8 among obese patients undergoing surgery for loss. Only few studies have assessed grazing non-bariatric samples. Reas colleagues11 evaluated non-clinical sample found that 91% 58 college girls reported P&N. Masheb et al12 occurring 56.8%, 50.4%, 31.8% during past 28 days participants bulimia nervosa (BN), binge disorder (BED), controls, respectively, who were recruited from community online questionnaires. No associations BMI psychological features either these studies. The question remains whether disordered maladaptive perhaps even normative behavior outside spectrum behavior. This study aimed investigate frequency across different types diagnostic groups, including BED, BN, anorexia (AN) well compensatory behaviors psychopathological BMI.
