Uniaxial Penetration Testing for Shear Resistance of Hot-Mix Asphalt Mixtures

摘要: A laboratory study evaluated the uniaxial penetration test for its suitability to characterize shear resistance of hot-mix asphalt mixtures at elevated temperatures. Four types with three different binders and coarse aggregates were tested by 40°C, 50°C, 60°C, 70°C. In addition, triaxial compression tests conducted selected compare strength. The results current investigation indicated that was able provide consistent selected. Further studies recommended be incorporated into mixture design as a simple performance test.
