The Judge Specificity of Evaluations of Youth Social Behavior: The Case of Peer Provocation.

摘要: Increasingly, theorists have suggested that social competence is an evaluative construct will vary as a function of who judging behavior. This study examined how two key groups in children's environments—peers (N = 663, age range 10.83–15.25 years) and teachers 49)—rated the effectiveness different behaviors generated by youth response to physical, verbal, relational provocation peers. Results indicated evaluated aggressive responses more effective than whereas seeking explanation youth. Both judged combining assertive elements be ‘pure’ aggression. Implications for measurement intervention models are discussed.
