摘要: BACKGROUND: Atrial tachyarrhythmias are common in patients with cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs). Restoration of sinus rhythm by external electrical cardioversion (eECV) is frequently used to alleviate symptoms and ensure optimal device function. OBJECTIVES: To evaluate the safety eECV contemporary CIEDs assess need for immediate interrogation after eECV. METHODS: We conducted a retrospective observational study 229 (27.9% female, age 69 +/- 10 years) CIED (104 pacemakers, cardioverter defibrillators, 56 biventricular devices) who underwent between 2008 2016 two centers. Data from before eECV, immediately afterwards, at first follow-up (FU) were collected. CIED-related complications adverse events during recorded. RESULTS: No significant differences right atrial (RA) ventricular (RV) sensing or threshold values FU observed. A small yet decrease was observed RA RV impedance (484 Omega vs 462 Omega, P < 0.001 536 514 0.001, respectively). The did not recover baseline value (538 527 = 0.02). changes without clinical consequences. left lead measured. documented following CONCLUSION: safe. There seems be no
