摘要: Abstract The methanation of carbon monoxide with Pt/ZnO catalysts activated at three different temperatures (220, 250, 300°C) is reported. An increase in specific activity that paralleled by a drop the CO chemisorption ability found when activation temperature increased. Characterization samples IR and TEM indicates extensive formation PtZn alloy already 220°C. As increases, spectroscopic data indicate an increased back-donation antibonding orbitals which seems to be related significant ligand effect Zn alloy. It suggested other cooperating effects like stabilization intermediate products larger hydrogen supply from during reaction may play role methanation.
