摘要: Beyond their initial identification in prostate cancer, the tumor suppressor KLF6 and its alternatively spliced oncogenic isoform KLF6-SV1 have now been associated with a number of human cancers. Expression patterns each linked to stage, disease recurrence, chemotherapy response overall survival. Most recently, inhibition has shown increase survival pre-clinical model ovarian cancer. This chapter reviews basic biology as it relates summarizes published studies date, highlights scientific rationale for therapeutically targeting novel treatment paradigm.
